1971 – B.S. Mathematics, Harvey Mudd College, Claremont, California

1973 – 1988: Programmer, Project Manager,  DP Manager, MIS Director, Product Manager, Pre-Sales Rep, Pre-Sale Manager, District Support Manager, Sales Rep 

1988-1993:  Independent consultancy with partner-cofounder-spouse Anne Johnson; developed ActionMap method, delivered over 100 flipchart-based workshops with organizations including HP, Intel, SoCalGas, Target, City of San Leandro

1994-2000:  Principal Consultant, Account Manager at CSC – used method to close $5M in new business in 1998; clients included Hunt-Wesson, Chevron, The Gap

2001- 2002:  Business Development Manager at Adobe; relationships with IBM and other large systems integrators

2003 – 2007:  Wrote business book, developed ActionMap Toolkit software prototype

2008 – 2014:  IT Management role with Kaiser Permanente

2014 – 2019: Developed commercial grade version of ActionMap Toolkit software with offshore development team 

2020:  Pro bono engagements, market research, test marketing

2021:  Full marketing of the ActionMap Toolkit
